What is Naples Pride?
Naples Pride is a festival that celebrates diversity and unity. This all-inclusive, family friendly and open to the public event will combine entertainers, speakers, musicians, performers, vendors, exhibitors, kids activities, food and beer for a day of fun and celebration in the name of equality.
History was made in Naples in 2017 as thousands of people were drawn to Cambier Park for the 1st Naples Pride. As a result Naples Pride formed a LGBTQ Task Force. The LGBTQ Task Force’s mission is to unite and empower the LGBTQ community of Collier County and to provide emergency support for those in crisis. All funds raised during the event, will support the Naples Pride LGBTQ Task Force Emergency Fund.
What is the theme of Naples Pride?
This years theme for the Naples Pride is #WeAreEqual! We are encouraging the entire SWFL community to recognize the importance of equal rights for all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, immigration status or religion.
When & where will Naples Pride be held?
Naples Pride is taking place on Saturday, June 2nd from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Cambier Park (755 8th Ave S, Naples, FL 34102).
Is there a cost to attend?
The event is free and open to the public but a we do have a $5 suggested donation for all participants.
Who can attend Naples Pride? Are children and pets allowed?
Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend Naples Pride regardless of age or sexual orientation, we strive to make this a family friendly event. Your decision to bring children and pets is left up to the attendees discretion.
Will there be activities for children?
Yes, we strive to make this a family friendly event. We will have arts, crafts & games for the kids.
Who is sponsoring Naples Pride?
Naples Pride is honored to have several amazing local partners and sponsors, including: Rainbow Pages SWFL, PFLAG Naples, GLSEN Collier, John R. Woods Properties, Fifth Third Bank, Bambusa Bar & Grill, Rascals and Naples Botanical Garden.
What will the weather be like?
We are expecting it to be HOT with temperatures in the mid-80’s. There will be a 60% chance of rain so be sure to bring an umbrella.
What should I wear?
That is up to you! Rainbows highly encouraged. We urge you to wear weather appropriate clothing – be sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, hats, umbrellas and sunglasses.
Will there be music and entertainment?
Absolutely! Naples Mayor Bill Barnett will kick off the event, followed by performances by Marco Kircher, the Gay & Lesbian Chorus, SWFL Burlesque Alliance, Rascals Production, TP Lords, Bambusa Babes, House of Valentines, True Blue Motown Band, along with several other entertainers and speakers. Crowd favorite DJ Kooshie will spin the music and dynamic MC Liquid will emcee the event.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes! There will be several different food trucks in addition to beer/drink tents.
Will other vendors and organizations be present?
Definitely! We have over 60 vendors (including food trucks) signed up for Pride. Come out and be ready to support your local organizations and vendors. There will also be a Naples Pride table where you can purchase themed merchandise and participate in a silent auction. Mc Gregor clinic will offer free on site HIV testing. All proceeds will be going to the at-risk/at-need LGBTQ fund.
Will vendors accept credit cards? Will there be an ATM available?
Some food trucks and vendors may accept credit cards but not all. We encourage you to bring cash. There will not be an ATM available on site.
Is there anything I should not bring to Naples Pride?
Bags will be checked at check in – please do not bring any guns, knives or other weapons into the event. This is for the safety of attendees and volunteers. We appreciate your cooperation.
Where can I park?
There is street parking along the sides of Cambier Park. Additionally, there are two parking garages you can utilize – City of Naples Parking Garage (400 8th St S, Naples, FL) & Naples Parking Garage (600 8th St S, Naples, FL)
